Each cookie takes a week and a half from first pinch to posting. It’s conditioned by hand, then baked and detailed until it looks uncannily real. A protective glaze seals it, a light scent finishes it off, and every flavour gets its own extra touches. You’re paying for something made slowly and consciously by a real person, not a machine.

What makes the cookie and pebble “smart”?

Each one hides a little technology inside that talks to your phone. Rest your phone against it, no charging needed, and a message appears: a new fortune from the cookie each day, or a fresh calming mantra from the pebble every time you tap.

Do I need to download an app to use it?

Nope! No app, no batteries, no set-up. Just tap your phone on it and today’s message will pop up in your browser. That’s it!

How often do the messages change?

Fortune cookies: a brand new fortune every day. All fortunes are unique to each individual, so you and your friend won’t be reading the same ones.

Calming pebbles: a fresh affirmation every time you tap, whenever you need a little moment of calm.

Is it durable? Can I carry it with me?

Yes, each piece is handmade from clay and cured for strength, so it’s water-resistant and made for everyday life. The cookies also come as a keychain for on the go or a magnet for home or the office.

What’s included in my order?

Each one arrives in lovingly handmade gift packaging with a how-to guide inside. The cookie’s box even opens like a real fortune cookie.

Will it work with my phone?

It almost certainly will: if your phone can tap to pay, it can read your cookie or pebble too. iPhone XS and later read it automatically, and most Android phones do with NFC on. Learn more about how it works.

My phone won’t scan it. What should I do?

Don’t worry, it’s usually just about finding the right spot.

iPhone and Android phones read it slightly differently, so check your phone’s settings if needed. A thick phone case can also get in the way, so try without it.

Shipping is free within Australia on orders of $100 or more.

We ship to Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao SAR, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam.

How long does shipping take?

Domestic

For orders within Australia, please allow 2–5 business days for delivery to metropolitan areas, and 3–11 business days for delivery to regional areas (including WA and NT) after your order has shipped.

International

For international orders, delivery timeframes vary depending on your location and can take between 2 and 6 weeks to arrive. Even with these estimates, transit times may vary due to customs delays.

We don't offer express shipping at this time.
