Our Smart Gingerbread Man, John Dough (Crumbie to his friends), is handmade in a small Christmas batch and only available as a limited edition treat. Iced by hand and smelling just like freshly baked gingerbread, he's the perfect gift for families, Secret Santas, or anyone who's tricky to shop for.

Handcrafted from polymer clay, he delivers festive trivia, jokes and fun facts with just a tap from your smartphone. Simply rest your phone against him and wait for a Christmas surprise to magically appear on the screen! He looks so uncannily real that you might be tempted to take a bite (but please don't eat him)!

Each one hides a little technology inside that talks to your phone. Rest your phone against it, no charging needed, and a message appears: a new fortune from the cookie each day, or a fresh calming mantra from the pebble every time you tap.

Do I need to download an app to use it?

Nope! No app, no batteries, no set-up. Just tap your phone on it and today’s message will pop up in your browser. That’s it!

How often do the messages change?

Fortune cookies: a brand new fortune every day. All fortunes are unique to each individual, so you and your friend won’t be reading the same ones.

Calming pebbles: a fresh affirmation every time you tap, whenever you need a little moment of calm.

Is it durable? Can I carry it with me?

Yes, each piece is handmade from clay and cured for strength, so it’s water-resistant and made for everyday life. The cookies also come as a keychain for on the go or a magnet for home or the office.

What’s included in my order?

Each one arrives in lovingly handmade gift packaging with a how-to guide inside. The cookie’s box even opens like a real fortune cookie.

Will it work with my phone?

It almost certainly will: if your phone can tap to pay, it can read your cookie or pebble too. iPhone XS and later read it automatically, and most Android phones do with NFC on. Learn more about how it works.

For orders within Australia, please allow 2–5 business days for delivery to metropolitan areas, and 3–11 business days for delivery to regional areas (including WA and NT) after your order has shipped.

For international orders, delivery timeframes vary depending on your location and can take between 2 and 6 weeks to arrive. Even with these estimates, transit times may vary due to customs delays.
